The growth process of chickens is divided into two stages, namely the brooding period and the rearing period.
The stage where the young chickens need to be manually warmed from the shell to the temperature is called the brooding period.
The young chickens at this stage are called chicks or young chicks. The brooding period generally refers to 0 to 6 weeks of age.
The stage from dewarming to before laying is called the breeding period.
The young chickens at this stage are called breeding chickens, and those reserved for breeding are called backup chickens.
Generally, the breeding period refers to 7-20 weeks of age. Chickens are 7 to 22 weeks old.
